il simbolo dell’impegno ambientale dell’opera di göteborg sono le arnie sul tetto dell’edificio. Il miele prodotto da questa apicoltura urbana viene venduto nello shop dell’opera. cosa mangiano le api? il nettare dei fiori dei fiori piantati sul tetto e di quelli del vicino parco trädgårdsförening. a far compagnia alle arnie e ai fiori, sul tetto ci sono 600 mq di pannelli solari. altri accorgimenti ambientali sono le fotocellule per l’accensione delle luci,raccolta differenziata, uso intelligente dei trasporti, uso delle viti invece che di colle per costumi e scenografie, uso di capelli veri invece che di parrucche sintetiche, menu sostenibili all’interno dei ristoranti, lavanderia all’ozono (che non viene disperso nell’aria) che riduce l’impiego della lavanderia a secco chimica
