the front entrance to new york city's waldorf astoria, one of the most famous hotels in the world. on march 1, 2017, the waldorf astoria will close temporarily for renovations, and reportedly only a small portion of the hotel will remain the rest being turned into condominiums

the highest value of the plot is a wonderful view stretching out. the idea was for the house to become its framework that crops it. the most appropriate building turned out to be a fully open on mountain landscape one-storey building, which gives the same view to all of the interiors. because of the plot being located in an absolute wilderness a problem of security came out. the solution turned out to be "twisting" the building so as only its one corner touches the ground. project by robert konieczny-kwk promes

a new species of lobopodian, a worm-like animal with soft legs from the cambrian period (541 to 485 million years ago), has been described for the first time from fossils found in the burgess shale in the canadian rocky mountains. details of the new species, called ovatiovermis cribratus, are being published in the open access journal bmc evolutionary biology. the new species is only the third lobopodian that has been formally described from the burgess shale. it is one of the rarest species found there, and is now in the collections of the royal ontario museum in toronto
